The SAMSON Type 6493 is a pneumatic differential pressure controller used for maintaining a constant differential pressure between two points in a process system. It is a classic, force-balance type controller with a diaphragm measuring system. No electricity is required — it uses only supply air to produce a pneumatic output signal. Many older plants and safety-critical systems still use it because of its simplicity, high reliability and long service life in harsh environments.
